Leather kits that a customer finishes by hand. Nine motifs, four colours each — cut, punched and packed in our own workshop in Kyoto.

We are a small workshop, not a factory. Everything is made to order in Kyoto, which sets a limit on what we can ship in a month — and makes it worth telling you the numbers before you order, rather than after.

Display pieces — free, one per motif

For every motif you order, we include one finished, fully assembled piece, free of charge, for display. One per motif — whatever the colours, and however many units, you order of it. Take the goldfish, the owl and the little bird, in any colours and any quantities, and you receive three finished pieces.

We choose the colour of the display piece. It is not a sample to sell. It is there so your customer can see what the box becomes before deciding to buy one. It ships with the order, not before it.

Opening in more than one location? Tell us, and we will see what we can do.

The collection

Nine motifs, four colours each — 36 items. Every kit is built the same way, so a customer who finishes one can start the next.

Two speeds of time

Standard across all kits. Worth explaining at the shelf, because it is the reason a customer picks one colourway over another.

Natural — vegetable-tanned

Evolving Time

A material designed to change with use. With light and the oils of the hand, it deepens into a warm amber patina — recording time as a physical surface.

Colours — chrome-tanned

Static Time

A material chosen for stability. The colour and the supple texture stay largely as they were on the day of assembly, preserving the intended finish.

Owlet and Little Bird — Two-colour are made in coloured leathers only, and do not include a Natural option.

Packaging, production and lead time

Retail packaging

The workshop

Eleven minutes on foot from Kyoto Station, one street inside the Kyoto that visitors know. Design, cutting, punching and packing all happen here.

The workshop sits inside a company that has worked with leather since 1975 — first as a material supplier and a production partner for others, and now under its own name. That is why the kits are consistent from box to box, and why we can talk about tolerances and lead times rather than guess at them.
